Your split is your pacing. It shows you how long it would take you to row 500 meters, and gives you your real time speed in the water if you were in a boat. When it comes to the split time, lower is better.

Now, how do you get it lower?

People often think you have to row at a faster stroke rate to lower your split time, but it's really more about driving and pushing harder with your legs.

This is your average pacing throughout class. We use paddle, push and power to describe the 3 ranges of effort levels we want you to stay in during class. Average split is a great way to track effort from start to finish.
